About

David Engler says if you want to know my values then read the Bible. If you want to know how I will rule as a Judge then read the Constitution.

Engler has been the leading divorce and custody attorney in Trumbull County and Mahoning County for more than 30 years. He has successfully represented children who have been abused and gone after their abusers including agencies that failed to protect the children.  He fought to hold accountable a pedophile father who abused his infant child during a visit at CSB,  He was admitted into the North Carolina Bar Court to go after a woman who had abducted a child ten years earlier  from Trumbull County and hid her with a fake child molesting "father." Engler brought the 12 year old back home to Trumbull with the real father.

His reputation as a lawyer is as a pit bull that does not let go until there is justice and the kids are protected.

David Engler and his Wife Diane live in Weathersfield Township and collectively have 5 children and 5 grandchildren. Engler says "there is no substitute for the knowledge that comes from his role as a father and papa.

When elected, Engler says "I will make it easier for people who's marriage or issue of custody is in crisis, by giving them a way to file "we need Help" petition that will get the family into counseling before there is a need for attorneys and tremendous costs".  Engler says a goal of his will be to see the divorce rate in Trumbull County decrease.

But his foremost goal is to make sure children are protected and directed to the right community resources to keep them safe emotionally and physically.

It is for this reason Engler says that the laws must be changed to treat Fentanyl dealers treated like the murderers they are.  Everyday in Family Court there is another story of a family torn apart and put at risk because of the ravages of opioid abuse and fentanyl death..
